SilicoFix Block Jointing Mortar 40 Kg is a high-quality, polymer-modified dry mortar specially formulated for thin-joint masonry applications. It is suitable for laying and jointing AAC blocks, fly ash bricks, concrete blocks, hollow blocks and other masonry units. The premixed formulation contains cement, graded sand and selected admixtures, requiring only the addition of clean potable water at the site.

Designed as an alternative to conventional sand-cement mortar, SilicoFix can be applied in a thin layer of approximately 3 mm, compared with conventional mortar joints of around 1825 mm. Its high tensile adhesive strength helps provide strong bonding between masonry units while helping minimize surface undulations and material wastage.

The product is easy to mix and apply using suitable masonry tools. Its thin-joint application helps create a more compact masonry structure and can reduce the possibility of water percolation through thick mortar joints. Unlike conventional sand-cement mortar, water curing is generally not required after application.

SilicoFix Block Jointing Mortar is suitable for AAC block walls, fly ash brick walls, concrete and hollow block construction, parapet walls, garden and boundary walls, and jointing of cement window and door frames or precast panels. Under normal conditions, one 40 Kg bag can provide approximately 180200 sq. ft. coverage at an average 3 mm thickness, depending on substrate condition and application thickness.

Key Technical Details: Grey powder appearance, approximately 2530% water requirement, 1.52 hour pot life at 27C and tensile adhesive strength of 0.34 MPa as per ASTM C1660. The product has a 12-month shelf life when stored properly in a cool, dry and moisture-free location.
